Best Idea Ever?

It’s January. Snow is on the ground. It’s cold. So what do we do? We visit a brewery, knowing that such places are always cold.

Well, we had a job to do, and that was at Chin Chin Brewery, South Kirkby. One left-over plague from the 2024 beerfest had to be presented.

Trip organiser Ricky, being a shy type, declined to make the presentation, insisting that your editor do the job.

So it was that, on the closest that could be found to a platform or stage – a set of steps – the presentation was made for Between the Lines, the beer voted as best pale ale (5 to 6%).

After a rather convivial afternoon, the cohort repaired to Jolly Boys Brewery at the Mallard on Moorthorpe station. There we savoured ale and savoury snacks.
